Dynamic Content Management

Metaphor’s dynamic content management capability allows users to create, edit and publish the essential content and collateral that comprise the organization’s processes. To address the need for flexibility in creating or changing content quickly and without IT assistance, Metaphor provides a way for non-technical business users to control their content without interrupting day-to-day business activity and without requiring any system downtime.

Metaphor allows users to define and easily manage all the information, resources, and collateral necessary for any business process. And, Metaphor enables real-time management of all these moving parts in a seamless and intuitive way.

An integrated approach to BPM and content management allows organizations to embrace change as opposed to struggling with it. And, as opposed to disjointed or “bolted on” approaches to content management, Metaphor brings the content into the process itself, allowing business users to approach documents, images, and other important collateral as the key component of the process that it is. Coupled with Metaphor’s on-the-fly human-facing interface generation capabilities, this means that content is seamlessly made available to the right users at the right point of each process in real-time, even when changes are being made at the exact same time.

As with all aspects of Metaphor, content management can be provided wholly through Metaphor, in conjunction with other ECM packages, or wholly by external ECM packages. And, thanks to Metaphor’s SOA approach to process delivery, no matter where the content “lives” or is managed, it’s available to process designers and consumers in the same ways. In this way, organizations that have already made investments in content management solutions can leverage their existing systems as opposed to being told they have to throw away what they’ve already worked to create. Plus, Metaphor’s event-driven architectural frameworks also mean that processes can be always aware of changes to underlying content no matter where it resides.
