Interactive Softworks, a leading provider of Human-Centric Business Process Management (BPM) software that improves business processes and transforms the way people interact with enterprise software, was recently approved as a General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule Contractor.
The GSA assists with procurement work for other government agencies. As part of this effort, it maintains the GSA Schedule that other agencies can use to buy goods and services. The GSA describes the Schedule as “a collection of pre-negotiated contracts” that makes it easier for procurement managers from government agencies to purchase products and services knowing that the best prices have been negotiated and all legal obligations have been taken care of.
“Being approved for the GSA Schedule opens an important, new door for our company,” said Loyd Olson, Interactive Softworks’ chief operations officer. “We're excited about the large new audience of government agencies that will be exposed to our state-of-the-art technology products.”
GSA Schedules make available to its customers the latest technology and quality supplies and services at favored prices. They also offer the potential benefits of shorter lead-times, lower administrative costs, and reduced inventories.
To be an approved supplier under a GSA schedule, a vendor must go through an exhaustive application process.
“We spent seven months complying with GSA Schedule requirements and negotiating fair and reasonable prices,” said Mr. Olson. “But we recognized that GSA Schedules are the favored purchasing mechanism for most federal buyers, so the time and effort were well spent.”
Large federal contractors can have GSA schedule sales exceeding $100 million annually.
